Edward
Founder
Edward has worked in Manufacturing, Finance, Purchasing, Information Technology, and Senior Management functions that involve strategic planning, business intelligence, and business development. His experience included working as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer. He studied in USA, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Edward was a native English speaker, conversant in French, and had some knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. Edward was active with the American Chambers of Commerce in Shanghai and Beijing and had been heavily involved with White Paper preparation and with the Washington Doorknock in 2006, 2007, and 2008 in addition to other involvement with the Chambers. He was the recipient of AmCham Shanghai's President Award in 2007. Edward passed away in December of 2009, but his legacy and commitment to his work are carried on by his DE Global family.

Viktor
Senior Advisor
Viktor has 37 years of multinational corporate experience working for Michelin in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. After working as VP of Human Resources North America and VP/General Manager of Aircraft Tires, he served as President of Michelin China & Korea based in Hong Kong and Beijing where he worked closely with DE Global founder, Edward. During his years in China, Viktor built up the Michelin China organization including the establishment of sales, supply, and sourcing networks; multiple JVs; state-of-the-art product & sales training centers; and essential government relations at local, provincial, and central levels throughout China. Before retiring from Michelin, he also served as Project Director for an international event in Shanghai promoting clean vehicle technology.

Deborah
Director
Deborah has worked in Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing functions in Canada, USA, China, and Singapore. She has experience in managing suppliers, developing and executing marketing and sales plans and has worked in the retail, medical, and hospitality industries. She has studied in Asia, North America and Europe and has most recently completed degree studies at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. In addition to being knowledgeable in these industries, she is a marketing and sales professional. She is a native Chinese Mandarin speaker with excellent English skills and has some knowledge of French.

Marc
Managing Director
Marc Gwinn has been working for DE Global in China and the United States since 2005 handling finances, research, quality control, and project management. Some recent projects have included consumer electronics product development and design for new markets in Africa as well as established global industry giant, Dell, however, his work's main focus has been in the energy and technology sectors. He assumed his father's duties as Managing Director of DE Global in January of 2010.

Rossi
Partner / Operations Manager
Rossi is our Operations Manager in Shanghai, capable of managing multiple projects. Joining us in 2005, she has progressed from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager to Operations Manager responsible for all research projects. Most of the people in the Shanghai office report directly to Rossi. She has years of experience in research and credit management with both domestic and Fortune 500 multi-national companies. Rossi is a graduate of Shanghai East Normal University. Rossi has recently been made a Partner.

Chris
Training Director
Originally from Los Angeles California, worked for over 10 years as an Investment Banker with the second largest brokerage house in the USA. He managed the operations sector for the largest Mutual Fund in the USA. He is an expert on the NASDAQ and NYSE stock exchanges. An experienced manager, Chris has worked with companies setting up operations in China. He also has an excellent background in training organizations and understands the sensitivities in training in a multi-cultural environment.

Daphne
Relocation Manager
Daphne is a Singapore national who has lived and worked as an expatriate throughout Asia and Europe. She is multi-lingual, fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, Swedish, French, German, Malay, Hokkien, and several other Chinese dialects. Daphne has relocated many times, having lived in Singapore, China, Belgium, Sweden, and Germany. She knows what is required to make a successful relocation from one's home country.

Lynette
Consultant/Advisor
Lynette has a consulting background with a Ph.D. from Asia-Pacific School of Economics and Government, Australian National University. Her Masters in Economics is from the UK. She has numerous years of 'hands-on' experience in China. Lynette is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, Malay, Fukien, Fuzhou, and Cantonese. She has experience as a strategy and business analyst in several industries including experience with the Economic and Development Board of Singapore. Additionally, she has designed and conducted door-to-door research campaigns in rural China. She currently resides in Toronto, Canada.

Nina
Office Manager
Nina functions as General Office Manager in Shanghai. She is a graduate of Henan Finance & Economics Institute. Nina has experience in sourcing, marketing, sales, finance, administrative management and research. She assists us with sourcing and research and she manages our Chinese language class offerings. She is a native Chinese Mandarin speaker and has good English skills.

Howard
Project Manager
Howard is a graduate of a California State University in Los Angeles. He is a general researcher in our Shanghai offices. He has experience in detailed company research and analysis, site surveys, industrial estate research analysis and report writing. Howard is fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin. Howard was the on-site administrative manager for our large generator project in Shenzhen. He was responsible for managing client relations, overseeing the disassembly and packing of the generators for shipment. In additon, Howard is involved with our automotive parts sourcing projects.

Timo
Manager Lean Manufacturing
Timo comes from Germany with a Masters in Automotive Engineering. He is experienced in Lean Manufacturing, Production Systems TPS and MPS, CA-X Technologies, and Total Productive Maintenance. He has been involved in a number of improvement projects in the automotive industry and brings excellent presentation tools skills. He is fluent in German and English with some knowledge of Thai and Mandarin Chinese. He has worked in Germany, Thailand and China.

Tracy
Project Manager
Tracy manages our consumer products research group, supervising a number of data entry personnel and researchers located throughout China and Korea. Additonally, Tracy is assistant Office Manager and assists the managing director with various tasks. She is a graduate of Shanghai Normal University with a degree in psychology. Tracy started with DE Global part time, progressed to Project Coordinator and now to Project Manager. She is a native Shanghainese and Chinese Mandarin speaker and is conversant in English.

Daniel
Project Leader
Daniel comes from the USA. He is a mechanical engineer with years of experience in Project Management, Lean Systems Design, Six Sigma, QS9000 and in sales and project training. He has worked in the USA, Japan, Thailand and China and has simultaneously managed projects spanning six countries. He is fluent in English and Japanese and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.

Christian
Project Manager
Christian comes from Germany. He earned a degree in International Business as well as a MBA from Australia. He previously worked in the automotive industry at Hella in Germany for three years and also has worked in Australia, Norway and China. His expertise is in the areas of project management, market assessment and evaluation, China market entry, and feasibility studies. Christian is fluent in German, English and proficient in Spanish and Dutch.

Thomas
Business Development Director
With studies in international business and communications in Germany and work experience in Germany, Thailand, and China, Thomas brings excellent skills for market assessment and evaluation, feasibility studies, strategic positioning and China market entry. Thomas is fluent in German and English and conversant in Mandarin Chinese.

Joerg
Business Development Director
Joerg comes from Germany. He has earned degrees in Industrial Engineering and Export Engineering in Germany and Denmark. He has expertise in Quality Management Systems, Best Practice Benchmarking, Market Study and Research Techniques, as well as global sales/procurement strategy. He has experience as a Project Manager in feasibility studies, ISO9001 Certification, Green Engineering, Energy Management and office establishment and build-up. He is fluent in German, Danish and English.

Winky
Project Coordinator
Winky is a New Zealand citizen who originally came from China, fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Her education and previous work experience in New Zealand has been in the financial industry. Winky has been involved in a number of major projects at DE Global, including as a key team member of the Skill Up and Level Up programs with a major international automotive manufacturing in Guangzhou. She has been involved in research, program development, business development and project management.

Grace
Analyst
Grace, a graduate of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, is fluent in Mandarin, Japanese and English. She has been involved in a number of cross-cultural exchange events as coordinator. She worked in our Shanghai office for some time, then was a key analyst with our Value-Up Program for Dongfeng Nissan in Guangzhou. She excels in Network Management and in Research and Analysis. Grace now resides in Tokyo and assists us with Japan based projects.

Marc B
Consultant/Advisor
Marc has lived, studied and worked in the USA and France. He has an MBA and has done additional studies at Stanford and Harvard. He has worked in senior management positions in international finance for a number of years. He is experienced in mergers, acquisitions and disposals, company restructuring. He has experience in investment banking, paper industry, auditing, automotive parts industry and consulting. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish with some knowledge of Italian and Hungarian. Marc is responsible for marketing in Africa and Europe and is actively involved with developing mobile phone markets in addition to other projects.

Tanya
Education Consultant/Advisor
Tanya comes from the USA. She has a Masters of Education with undergraduate degrees in Mandarin Chinese and French. She has experience teaching at a number of levels in public schools in the USA with involvement in teaching English as a second language. She has lived, studied and worked in North America, Europe and Asia. She works with us as an Education Consultant and assists with report preparation and editing.

Xiangling
Researcher / Analyst
Xiangling is a researcher / analyst who is available from time to time to assist with projects in Southeast Asia. She is knowledgeable in financial analysis and company research. Now based in Singapore, Xiangling worked in our Shanghai office in 2005-2006 when she was a business student at National University of Singapore / Fudan campus. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, and Hokkien.

Wilfred
Researcher / Analyst
Wilfred, based in Singapore, is a researcher / Analyst who assists with projects in China and Southeast Asia. Wilfred worked in our Shanghai office in 2006-2007 when he was a business student at National University of Singapore / Fudan campus. Wilfred is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, and several other Chinese dialects. He is actively involved in a number of projects ranging from automotive parts to internet sales to sourcing and is involved heavily in business development.

Wei Wei
Researcher
Wei Wei joined us in January 2008. She will work in our Shanghai office all during 2008 while she is a business student at National University of Singapore / Fudan campus. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, several other Chinese dialects, and Malay. She is already experienced in business having worked actively in her parents business in Malaysia since her early teens.

DE Global has a network of researchers, part and full time, located in nine cities in China (Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Dalian, Shenyang, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Kunming) and in Kwangju and Busan Korea. In addition, we have part time researchers located in Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Auckland and Sydney. These researchers have been involved in research ranging from consumer products to manufacturing to services.
