| A U.S. company established a chemical plant in China several years ago. They were growing rapidly but primarily focused on exports for their income. Now, with the economic crisis, demand for exports has slowed considerably. In addition, China changed tax requirements for the chemical industry which impacted their profitability. Being so busy with exports, the company had not focused on the domestic market in China. We are now assisting this company which supplies very good quality products to develop a marketing plan for China customers.

| Working with the U.S. owner, we did a full operational investigation on a fertilizer factory in China, technical, manufacturing, and marketing & sales. A number of recommendations were made to improve manufacturing. A detailed review of marketing & sales resulted in a plan to bring this factory back to a profitable level. For implementation, we provided an interim general manager to get the new plan started and continue to be available for assistance with other implementation issues.
